Monarchs Anonymous started out as an online YouTube comedy series created by Nadia Devereux and Joshua Poole. The series features Monarchs from History in group therapy and is influenced by shows such as Horrible Histories, Monty Python and Blackadder.

 

Ceridwen Theatre Company loved the concept of the series and in 2021 successfully gained Arts Council England funding to develop it for the stage.
